It's calming to me. Dunno why.
And seeing the other car's tail light designs is pretty cool.
Taken earlier while waiting to pick up my brother from band.

Quiet, late night rain driving is one of the best experiences.

+1000 I love night driving. Light rain makes it better.

check out the 'night rider' playlist on spotify. You won't be disappointed!

It was so much better because the power was out on some parts of the road (there was a huge storm before the light rain) so there were no street lights. It was awesome.

It's bigger, FWD, crossover brother, the Vue.

I know you weren't talking to me, but thank you, I'm not disappointed lol

Not disappointed. I now have a new playlist to use!

You're joking. The Sky has literally the same gauges then, ew. I don't know if I can handle getting one knowing that now...(jk lol)
Ok now that I've googled it, it's not the same but similar. The tacho is on the right instead of the speed on the Sky.

The other night I went out driving in a big storm, I could barely see the lines diving the lanes so I was being really cautious but damn did it relax me. The roads were empty it was just blissful.

The Vue Redline has similar gauges, but still not the same.

Well, still. The backlight color is the same that's what made me think lol

The most peaceful drive I've ever taken was when I drove 1000 miles through the night in the snow and rain. The roads were near empty, it was visible enough to not be dangerous, and it was completely quiet. There was no dumbass in the left lane slowing down traffic, no one swerving around on their cellphone in one hand, and no one to cut me off. 10/10 would drive that 1000 miles again.

Yeah, I had to use the fog lights to see the road tonight. It wasn't raining hard, but it was actually a little hazy. I felt like I was that guy who uses his fog lights for no reason, but I actually had a reason.

Nope. Onyx Black.

I am currently enjoying the calming experience of being in a dark house in the dark. Yay power outages.

Driving at night when it's snowing is probably my favorite thing ever.

ok good. The fam rented a fleet-spec one in orange for a road trip once and it was kind of awful (granted that was 90% the dreadful mid aughts metallic orange)

Yay buried power lines!
Seriously the power NEVER goes out at my house, only flashes for a second.

Yeah, Sunburst Orange was definitely an... interesting color.
Fleet spec meaning plastic body cladding, under-powered 4 cylinder attached to a 4 speed auto and electric power steering, I assume.

That is one of the downsides of living in a 65 year old neighborhood. That and no sidewalks.

I'm so glad my house is only 18 years old, none of the old house problems.
That being said, old house design can be gorgeous.

oh yes. We called it the giant pumpkin.

There is nothing quite like drifting around mountain roads in the snow at night.

A thoroughly deserving name.
And that's why I'm glad we ended up with a black V6 XR that is actually really great to drive.

I'm cool with sliding around in the snow until the driver loses control and puts you into a tree. Cause that's happened to my girlfriend and I.
![]() 08/07/2014 at 00:57 |

It was up on mining service roads, so no body is really up there at night.
![]() 08/07/2014 at 00:59 |

Yeah, there was no one around us either. I guess I worded that kinda weird.
Girlfriend was trying to slide in the snow, hit a narrow spot in the road with trees on either side. Avoided one, hit the other. Not a good way to end our date night.

I proved to my friends that night that the 4Runner isn't as top heavy as it looks, even with 4 200+lbs guys in it. Forgot I left it in 2WD and slid into a ditch sideways because my fucking tires fooled my ABS for the final time before those fuckers were replaced, hit the ditch bumper first (left a scratch on it), powered out of the ditch, and landed on 2 wheels. Never had that problem again after I got new tires(the old ones had about 60% tread on them, just don't buy Pro-Comp tires). Drifted many a curve after that with no trouble at all.

Yeah my headlights are automatic and thats usually fine for whenever I drive but I HAD to use my foglights.. I could still barely see haha.
